Our mission at Starlight Children’s Foundation is to deliver happiness to seriously ill children and their families. We know that research shows when kids are happy and engaged, they’re more likely to understand and comply with treatments and recover faster.

3,026,620 sick kids impacted
More than three million hospitalized kids were impacted by Starlight programs, meaning millions of kids were transforming fear into courage and calming anxious hearts, helping them build resilience for the future.
824 health care facilities
Our programs supported 824 healthcare facilities that are in every state across the US, including freestanding children’s hospitals, community hospitals, hospice care facilities, and facilities in medically underserved and vulnerable communities. We are committed to ensure that all children and their families can experience the happiness and transformative power of Starlight programs.
1,022 families impacted
A child’s journey with their illness does not always end when they leave the hospital, which is why the Starlight Families program exists. The Families program provides digital tools and resources that support families by bridging the gap between in-hospital and at-home care. We continue to bring happiness and encouragement to pediatric patients and their families through every step of their journey.
Though we have impacted over 3 million kids in 2024, there is still more to do. Approximately 5 million children are hospitalized each year, and they need crucial resources like Starlight programs to remain resilient through tough days.
