BritWeek, Inc., a 501(C)3 Organization, was formed to educate the general public about the contributions of the British to California in particular and the United States in general, and to do other and various good (public) works.

Of the approximately six hundred charities currently rated by CharityWatch, only a select number qualify for our listing of Top-Rated charities based on their rigorous analysis. Groups included on the Top-Rated list generally spend 75% or more of their budgets on programs, spend $25 or less to raise $100 in public support, do not hold excessive assets in reserve, and receive"open-book" status for disclosure of basic financial information and documents to CharityWatch.

The Cause Marketing Halo Award is the highest honor for companies and causes that collaborate to produce business and social dividends. CBS EcoMedia and Starlight Children’s Foundation were named as 2014 Halo Award Finalists in the Best Business Model Integration Category. CBS EcoMedia has been supporting Starlight since 2012. Since then through the Cadillac WellnessAd campaign alone, Starlight has met the needs of 41 hospitals in seven United States regions, we have placed 202 Starlight Tablets and a total of 101,296 children enjoyed a better hospital experience.

The Cause Marketing Halo Award is the highest honor for companies and causes that collaborate to produce business and social dividends. Hollywood Entertainment and Starlight Children’s Foundation earned the Halo Award in 2007. Since 2002, Hollywood Entertainment had involved its 26,000 employees at various levels – from promoting in-store contributions and sales of cause-related items to volunteering to host parties for young patients. In 2006 alone, employees held more than 500 hospital events while promotional programs added hundreds of thousands of dollars to the millions that Hollywood Entertainment has donated to the cause.

The Web Marketing Association honored Starbright World, our online social network for seriously ill teens and their siblings, with two awards as part of its 11th annual WebAward Competition for website development. Starbright World received a Standard of Excellence Award in two categories: nonprofit websites and online communities. More than 2,400 websites from 40 countries were adjudicated in 96 industry categories during the competition. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, and use of technology.

The Cause Marketing Halo Award is the highest honor for companies and causes that collaborate to produce business and social dividends. Embassy Suites Hotels and Starlight Children’s Foundation earned the Halo Award in 2004 for the Best Print Creative. Embassy Suites had been Starlight’s partner since 2001. Over time, the partnership’s goals expanded to include involving guests, employees and the general public. Creative advertising in the form of lobby posters, in-room tent cards, print ads and training guides provided the key elements in the successful campaign.

The Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) distinguished the cause-marketing program created by Starlight Children’s Foundation and Embassy Suites Hotels, with the highly coveted Silver Anvil for its 2003 Creativity Suite consumer PR campaign. The combined print, broadcast, and live events efforts resulted in a vast increase in guest awareness and funding for Starlight, and inspires significant voluntary participation by Embassy Suites Hotel employees. The One Show, the premiere international advertising award show, sets the industry standard for creative advertising in print, television, radio, outdoor, innovative marketing, integrated branding and branded content. Each year, work is judged by an international jury of award-winning art directors, copywriters and creative directors. Because the digital world moves too fast for a once a year deadline, One Show Interactive features quarterly winners that advance to the final round of judging. Quarterly winners are recognized in the One Show Interactive annual.

The Horizon Interactive Awards is a prestigious international competition recognizing outstanding achievement among interactive media producers. The competition recognizes the best websites, videos, online advertising, print media and mobile applications. Each year, the Horizon Interactive Awards receives thousands of entries from all over the world. A panel of industry professionals, from diverse multi-media, graphic design and marketing backgrounds, review the entries to determine the work that is deserving of a distinguished Horizon Interactive Award. Entries can earn a Gold, Silver, or Bronze award, and in some cases, an Honorable Mention distinction. All Gold winners are eligible for the Best of Category and Best of Show award (the Horizon Interactive Awards highest honor).
